Torremirona Golf was again the scene of a great day of golf on the occasion of the seventh round of the Catalunya Pro Tour 2025, which brought together some of the best players of the Catalan scene in a privileged environment in Navata (Girona). The course shone in all its splendor under a clear sky and with stunning views of the snowy Pyrenees, making it the ideal setting for an event that also had a charitable nature in benefit of La Marató de 3CAT 2025, dedicated this year to cancer research.
An impeccable course and a vibrant denouement
Despite the rains of the previous days, the course was presented in exceptional conditions, offering players a technical and visual challenge at the height of the circuit. A total of 36 professionals participated in this seventh round and played an exciting competition that was not decided until the final stages.
Marc Sabrià signed an outstanding round of 70 strokes (-2), culminated with a decisive birdie on the 18th hole, which allowed him to win by one stroke ahead of Jorge Feliu from Barcelona, author of a solid card of -1. The podium was completed by Lucas Vacarisas and Erik Shukhart, both with the par of the course.
Sabrià repeats triumph in Torremirona
Sabrià’s victory also has a special point: the professional player of Camiral Golf had already won in Torremirona in 2023, when the event was played in Pro-Am format, also with a card of 70 strokes. On this occasion, his round was highlighted by birdies on holes 1, 10, 13 and 18, compensating for the bogeys on 5 and 15.
The good performance of Erik Shukhart, third, was added to the double fifth place of Albert Sanchez and Alejandro Sanchez, allowing Club de Golf Barcelona to place three of its players in the top five of the tournament.
Outstanding performances and international projection
Senior José Ramón Portell signed a creditable seventh position with +2, the same result as Frenchman Darragon Quentin, an example of the growing international interest in the Catalunya Pro Tour.
As for the 2025 Order of Merit, Emilio Cuartero maintains the provisional lead with 1,988 points, followed by Javier Sáinz (1,650). After his performance, Erik Shukhart moves up to third place with 1,145.5 points, overtaking Pol Bech, now fourth with 1,065.
A day with added value
The event also featured the participation of sports coaching expert Jordi Díez, from The Winner Smile, who provided his professional vision and motivational support to the players.
The organization highlighted the excellent work of the operational and maintenance team of Torremirona Golf, headed by the general manager Alberto Rodriguez, both in the recovery of the course after the rains and in the attention offered to players and staff.
The event was again supported by the Federació Catalana de Golf (FCGolf), the sponsors of the circuit and the technical management of Golf Directo, responsible for the results system.
Looking ahead to the next test
After the success of this seventh stage, the Catalunya Pro Tour will return to action on December 1 at Infinitum Golf (Campo Lakes), where registrations are already open and another great day full of golf and fellowship is expected.
With Torremirona Golf as a luxury setting, the circuit once again reaffirmed its role as a platform for growth, excellence and projection for professionals and young talents of Catalan golf.
